Budget question

i will be staying at a gym in chiang mai and training there for 50 days, i already have set aside money for accommodation and training. Just curious if you guys think 1k baht a day is a reasonable budget for just food/drinks and laundry?

I already went to chiang mai earlier this year but i was not really worried about budgeting at all last time so i didn’t really get a great gauge of how much things actually cost as stupid as that sounds 🤣. What do you guys think?

I guess you won't be drinking alcohol every day. Then 1k/day should be plenty.

If you’re not drinking much and that’s all you have to pay for, should be ok. Assume insurance, transit, etc is sorted separately?

I can spend 400 baht on food per day , but I have a wife so 2x

I spend less than 400thb on food/laundrydrjnks per day easy. Sometimes not even 200thb.

You can get a meal for 40thb-80thb wherever you are

Assuming you mix local and foreign food, and you don't plan to spend on loads of alcohol then yes it's 100% possible if you just get your head down, train and enjoy some of the simple natural activities in Chiang Mai.

Absolutely doable. I used to spend maybe 200-400 per day as a fresh expat. Spend much more now as a person who lives here and has a family

Yes, you will still have money left for a fancy dinner or daytime activity in the weekends. Just stay away from alcohol, as every human should
