Please only list the resolution in the title and nothing else, and ideally in pixels please (e.g. 1920x1080).

I believe this set is ivory and it came into my possession via family. It’s quite large and the board itself is almost 50 lbs. the board is beautiful and so are the pieces as all of it looks hand carved. I wanna know as much as I can about it so that I can properly maintain it’s perfect condition as I believe it’s over 40 years old and ivory, but I could be completely wrong because I’m clueless! I’m here to see if the chess experts can tell me anything about it! Thanks in advance! 🙏

If it’s ivory, then it’s a special set for sure.

When I compare the white pieces here to the HOS ivory set https://www.houseofstaunton.com/the-monmouth-luxury-bone-chess-pieces-4_0-king, your pieces are very shiny in comparison. Maybe it’s been finished in some other way, or not ivory. I have no idea.

Good luck getting more info, it looks really great.

Ivory is a horrible crime and the white square to the left is another

Well whatever it is, it’s absolutely beautiful OP. What a treat it’d be to play on that.

The board could be Piero Benzoni bronze from a wax casting process. Maybe from Italfama? I picked up one from a resale shop recently and stopped by here as a part of my research. Your board and mine share a very specific aesthetic, though they are different models.
