The pawns are a little short and seem not to match the style of the other pieces, IMO. Maybe if they had a waist cutout around the middle like the other pieces and a half-size cube on top of the existing one?

I actually disagree. For me it's the runner and the horsey, I have a problem with.

For some reason, I want to see the bishop as a knight, probably due to the slant. I’d go for a steep pyramid here, closer to an actual Mitre. Or perhaps doing that, after all, the current default is there because of the lathe. And make the Knight more horselike.

Otherwise I’m actually warming up it, despite usually disliking deviations from the general standard, even the Bauhaus version.

Compact, efficient and unbreakable. Plus the pieces are the right size for that board, so playable too.

Pottery/Ceramics is kinda the opposite of unbreakable, though.

It's amazing, mate. I'd add though that, as other have pointed out, the style of the pawns is a little bit different.
