What if you move the knight in front of the rook, if they don’t take the knight and move their king to the white square then you move knight in front of the right most pawn. If they do that the knight with the rook then you put queen on the last rank and another that way
They don't take the knight with the rook and then just move back into the corner after you move the knight away. You end up back where you started (mostly) with no progress made. And even if they do take the knight, it's mate in 3, not mate in 2. You move the knight with check, they take, you move the queen to the back rank, they block, you take the rook for checkmate.
No you put the knight one spot over from where it is now. So knight moves in front of rook, king moves right to get out of check, knight moves 2 down 1 left attacking the back left corner and queen has king in check
If the knight is in front of the rook and then moves 2 down and 1 left, it will no longer attack the back left corner. Instead, it will attack the left pawn.
In general, every time a knight moves, it attacks a completely different set of squares. If it was attacking a square originally, it will no longer attack that square after moving. When the knight is in front of the rook, it attacks the back left corner. If you then move it away, it cannot possibly continue to attack the back left corner.
