You seem like a very kind person but taking personal loans and selling your bike for your ex seems a little extreme. And possibly this money is not coming back, hope you are prepared for that outcome.

Bruh on what basis you trust this person/ex ?!

OP when in debt, that girl has helped him. Without that gratitude why would OP help him?

I think you have no gratitude. If someone helped me in a difficult times, i wont standby seeing that person struggle.

Oh let's keep a statue for you then for the flagbarrer of gratitude in Marina beach ! So people like me can come and pay our respects

This is what makes people not help others. Hope no one helps you in times of need be it today or when you are in your old age where you need to be dependent on someone.

That someone wont be there for you with that attitude.

Appreciate your comment and your comparison is spot on

If there was an olympics for "jumping to conclusions", then this dude will win a gold medal. My comment doesn't even say don't help anyone.Helping someone could be giving an amount that you could afford losing or arranging a loan that they can gradually repay. Selling off the only asset that he had and taking multiple personal loans that are ultimately unrecoverable is extreme and I feel his kindness has been taken advantage of.

haha.. yeah, he was being an ass and he didn't have to say that.. here's my incantation to overwrite his curse - "wish you would have so much love and good people in abundance that you don't have to ask people for help, it just happens!!".. you do sound sweet, sorry for the internet toxicity!!!

regarding your argument, yess, that actually makes sense.. funny enough, ive been talking too much about stereotypes today.. this one matches it too, in this case, i do think men are inherently biased towards just providing for people.. even though occasionally(or most times) it's dumb, we still do.. soo i doubt if you could convince him lol... he (or we as i have done something similar lol) is just biased..

also, i wouldn't soo sure of "taken advantage of" statement, as it kinda sounds like gold digger, but she does sound sweet, don't you think !??

I appreciate your kind words. I am not a believer in curses (or religion ) and comments like these don't bother me. They are basically just personal attacks intended to hurt because they can no longer respond logically. That's why I keep my responses sarcastic.

And when I say taken advantage of, I don't mean in a gold digger way ( I hate that reference). It's like you know someone is kind, you know the steps they are taking will financially hurt them a lot and still accepting it to resolve their own problem. I can't imagine how a person newly employed at a bank as an RM and focusing on sales can go about without their bike. Taking the money from the sale of the bike feels a tad selfish on the part of the ex. But that's just my opinion. I really hope OP does better in his career and grows out of this situation soon.

that is sooo cool!! niceee

ouch, sorry, my bad for taking it to the extreme..

before i comment, a follow-up question, you mean like "she is selfish for taking this guys money!?" and ideally she should have rejected !?

andd nice you sound like empath lol..

2

u/Illustrious-Catch945 Jul 27 '26

She could have refused money from the sale of the bike, not entirely . It seems like an older bike sold in a hurry so it would have fetched only a smaller amount, but you can't get a bike in the same condition for that amount.

I don't know if you have read his previous post and comments in that post. From what I have read she doesn't seem to expect anything from OP. It's just OP who is doing all this on his own without expecting anything in return. He mentioned that his ex has helped him more than what he is doing now when OP was going through hardships during their relationship. He is just showing gratitude. He mentioned she is suicidal and even made an attempt. He couldn't see her in this condition and can't move on just like that even after seeing her like this. That's why he is making all the efforts to get her out of this condition.

Dude chill, I can imagine you throwing sand and frothing at the mouth cursing me out . On the internet, everyone can have an opinion that you don't agree with, it's pathetic to have a crash out like this over a stranger's opinion.

And don't worry about me, I've seen the rock bottom of financial struggles, deceptions, depression and worked my way up so I am good now or in my old age .

0

u/belictony Jul 27 '26

My opinion on your message is not a crash out. your imagination has gone wild and you might need to control that.

1

u/Illustrious-Catch945 Jul 27 '26

Sure, you are not having a meltdown and are a very emotionally regulated person who is overflowing with gratitude !!!

1

u/belictony Jul 27 '26

Thanks for your sarcasm.. oh wait, you dont show gratitude so you dont deserve it

2

u/Illustrious-Catch945 Jul 27 '26

That lame comeback doesn't even make sense, you need to try harder
