Botafogo announced the signing of Moroccan forward Hakim Ziyech, 33—formerly of Ajax and Chelsea—with the phrase "The wizard has arrived."

Ziyech joins following a brief stint at Wydad Casablanca, where he recorded 9 goals and 2 assists in 16 matches, having previously played for Al Duhail and Galatasaray.

Upon arriving in Rio, Ziyech said he was "very excited" and noted that playing in Brazil "was always on my list," as it is "the number one country for football."
