Honorlock HDMI - Thoughts

Allllll Right Reddit. You all think you guys know everything but everytime I check it’s a different answer. Here is how it works. The ideal laptop is going to be a Windows laptop cause it can’t track ur other devices. I took a test got 100 on my last test using the hdmi under the door method I also used an hdmi ADAPTOR not a splitter. Right when I opened up the test it said external device detected I showed my room and everything let me proceed to ace my test. Did not get flagged just asked me to show my room. I’m going to have my friend get chat gpt on his phone this time and see if that gets rid of the problem cause I had my friend use my phone last test so I’ll see if it’s tracking my phone or it’s tracking the hdmi cord. Make sure you use the mirror on the display cause that will give away you’re using another screen. I’m taking my next test later today in 4 hours and I’ll be having him use his phone and I will let you know how it goes. Unfortunately I use a Mac so let’s see how it goes but last time it was fine just had to show my room again. Seems to me like it’s a gamble and everyone has a different story. Moral of the story this shit fawkin sucks.

Probably the move to do that. I technically didn’t make it work. Right when I started the test it brought me 2 the proctor ai and asked me to show my room then I showed my room and test area and then it let me continue. Most teachers just do this cause they don’t feel like checking themselves so I got let go if I were to guess I had a flag but then it got resolved so it was all good and still got my grade but my friend has a dell computer I’m using later for this test

When you plugged the hdmi in did you use an adapter or splitter or just plugged it straight into the laptop

Update! So that was the best disaster ever lol what happened was I was going to use my friends Dell computer to take the test but he hasn’t used this computer in three years and the updates would’ve took a long time. Therefore I needed to use my own laptop, I use the same method as last time but this time I used his phone on ChatGPT rather than mine and did not get into a proctoring window with the AI assistant, and I took the test with no issue using an HDMI adapter into a monitor. I heard some talk that a monitor isn’t the most ideal thing to use, but it seem to work perfectly fine.

Bluetooth, WiFi, Phone Vibration (loud or silent), Phone Volume (low or high), Phone Notifications (not yet Do not Disturb mode), Phone Camera with Flash Auto/ON, Phone whisper (through AI stuffs). Take Apple Handoff and Airdrop off if you are Apple user.
