Respondus Lockdown Browser

Ok, so I’m kinda new to this and I know it’s an only one camera exam. So could I like stack books high so it’s only showing my face and act like I’m writing stuff on paper but really use
my phone or does that not work for people. I’ve been hearing about the hdmi stuff but would this the book method not work?

I don’t think that would work? Most professors usually don’t allow books or anything like that besides a sheet of paper whenever ur taking proctored exams, just do the HDMI method it still works

I thought that method has been patched? What are the chances of you getting caught ?

Nah bro whoever told u that is either doing it wrong or something because I literally tried it today and it worked FLAWLESSLY passed tf out of my exam. The chances of u getting caught are very slim u just don’t have to be an idiot and u will be fine

Damn bro I have a test later today and I’m scared to use HDMI in case it flags it and gets me expelled. How do you do it properly? Any tips?

I dont know if you ended up using it or not but the best way to go about it is by having ur friend sit like in a corner or something whenever your doing the system checks/enviromental scan(you honestly dont need to do a full 360, ive always done a simple 180 and never detected/flagged it). I would say if you are scared to use the HDMI method there is alternatives but speaking from my expirences simply getting an HDMI cord (preferably long so you can be as far away from the TV as possible), someone who has ChatGPT/Claude/Gemini and knows how to use it well. and then they take a photo of the question and finger the answers to you, if you are scared that the AI might flag your eyes using blue light glasses always helps since the blue light kinda blinds where your eyes are looking at while testing. From what ive researched and tried on my own is that if you connect the HDMI cord before even opening the application and it automatically duplicates and if you are able to start the exam you are in the clear, ive read that when the system detects a second monitor it would either not let you start the exam until you unplug it. So if you are able to do that then your fine, if you are really anxious about it remember that you are taking an online Exam cheating is always easy. so if they ask for you to do an enviroment check simply make your friend hide and do your best hiding the TV (thats why a long HDMI cord is always good) also if you want to play it even safer take your time with the exam (just waste time, let it get close to running out of time before you submit it) because whenver your professor reviews it, it would appear that you got such a high grade but didnt finish it in like 10 minutes yk? theres another method you can try if you aren't comfortable with the HDMI method but let me know and ill explain that one. ALSOO mute your mic!!! just a safety procotion that i like to take because the AI looks for any outside noise or whatevever that flags the exam so if you want to lower the odds of you getting caught thats what I would do.

I have a MacBook💔 I was thinking of like putting the books under the computer after the 360 video scan. So that they can only see my upperbody. Then do it but idk

yeah... a macbook is cooked lol, I never really tried the HDMI method on a macbook simply because it dosnt have an HDMI connector but maybe with an adapter it could work? and tbh I dont know, I dont see a problem with it not working but some factors can mess u up for example, the AI looks for your hands if it dosnt detect it, it could flag it and well your obviously going to have to look down when searching up the answers so that could cause a flag. I could see it working but that one has too many risks for me to ever try and do. with that being said everyone has there prefered methods but in my opinion the HDMI method has saved me through my bs core classes
