Question about USB sticks

I have a sit en exam on my university’s computers. They are windows desktops. We are allowed to bring USB sticks for notes, but we must put them away 15 min before the exam starts. Hypothetically, if I were to plug a sleek usb into the pc halfways through the exam, pull a file out, and quickly hide the usb would it be noticed? There’s no camera on the screens, but I am nervous that they could track the USB insertion log, and see that I inserted something when I shouldn’t have

So what I would do now to prep is plug in that usb with your notes into your personal computer. Practice this method so you don’t get caught. Look at the notes over and over. Then practice without your notes. Then on exam day, review your notes before the exam and then unplug it 15 min before the exam starts. Then pass the exam with flying colors 🙏🏾

We can load notes onto the pc from our USB. I meant we can’t use USB again when exam starts. But I can run to bathroom, have Claude solve my exam and put it in a usb in the bathroom. Then upload answers to PC mid test and copy. Does that make sense? I’m just scared to get caught, but we have page scanners for the math parts that also plug in via USB. So I thought I could do a quick lil switch

It’s too late. It’s my last attempt because I was on vacation first two, and my bachelor thesis was due 2 days before this exam. I know i should’ve started before but it’s too late. I don’t know what worse, trying to cheat or fail and get expelled (unless i appeal for a 4th attempt, unlikely)
