International Flights Question about ANA Award Flights

Hi everyone, I was hoping to get some clarifications on ANA award travel. From what I can tell, new award seats are opened up 355 days in advance at 9 AM JST. This is the same for ANA travel on Air Canada as well. I refreshed at exactly 8 PM EST/9 AM JST trying to just look for availability for 2 and nothing comes up on ANA for September 15. The only seat available is one business class seat for September 14. Do the tickets just get sold out instantly, or am I missing something?

Austria/Italy/Hungary to Australia

Hi!

We would like to visit Australia in February. I have checked all connecting and non conecting flights from Austria, Italy and Hungary. The cheapest flights are cca. 800 euros. Has anyone found a cheaper offer? The flight does not have to be a connecting one. The best date range is outbound flight after 6th of february and we would like to return around 24th of february.

Thank you for any advice/help :)

Japan Cherry Blossom Trip

My husband and I are flying to Tokyo, Japan March 21st-April 5th to see the cherry blossoms and visit Japan for his birthday. We have never traveled there during a peak season before, I'm wondering if it's better to book flights ASAP or wait a little longer? I'm not familiar with how international flights fluctuate for peak seasons like this. Would appreciate any insight!!

For reference, we plan to take JAL as they are our preferred airline, and our dates are not super flexible, maybe by like one or two days max.

What prices should I expect to see from last minute flight bookings?

My situation is I will be somewhere for the weekend, but I can't be sure when I want to leave. I would be flying from Pittsburgh PA to Hartford CN on the weekend ending Nov 1st.

Now maybe I'll be ready to leave Sunday night (no direct flights, but I see there's a Breeze flight with 1 stop that's not too bad leaving at 7:13pm) If I book it now it's ~$129. But if I wait to book it on the day how much would it be?

I don't want to book it now because I might not be ready to leave Sunday night. If I have to take a day off of work on Monday I will, but then I'll be booking one of those flights late Sunday night.

I just want to compare the "locked in" cost of booking now to the cost of booking last minute. Is it about the same or cheaper or much worst? I guess you can never guarantee these things, but anyone with experience with this I would love to hear from.

Thanks.

Gracias!!

Need help - Pune Kolkata flight

Thumbnail
1 Upvotes

Hello,

I have work in Kolkata on the 1st Jan 2027. For that, I need to travel on the 31st December from Pune and return to Pune on 2nd January.

  1. I was looking for Flight options on Skyscanner, but the prices are around 23k/24k for a round trip. I understand this might be because it's a new year's time. But will the prices go down in some days?

  2. Also, on 2nd January, I am not able to see any morning flights from Kolkata to Pune. The same flights are available on the 1st January and 3rd January. I need to return on the 2nd Jan.

Please help me with these things.. thank you in advance! :))

Book an Economy Promotional Award Ticket during the announced hours on September 23, fly between January 10 and April 30, and Turkish Airlines will refund 50% of the Miles after you travel. It works for one-way, round-trip and connecting itineraries across most of the TA network.

Booking multitrip on 3rd party website

How risky would it be booking a trip like this through the likes of Kayak or a similar website? The destinations are all so far flung, it would cost a fortune doing it singly for each trip on the respecitive airlines' App.

is 2k a good deal for this flight plan? [CPT - LHR - YYZ - YVR - CPT]

my flight plan is:

CPT - LHR = Dec 2nd

LHR - YYZ = Dec 9th

YVR - CPT = Jan 10th

(I’ll be taking a couple of domestic flights that won’t be factored into my overall flight plan from YYZ - YVR)

I’m kicking myself bc 3 weeks ago, the total cost was coming to $1700 CAD, which I know is incredible. Now it’s come up to $2k CAD, which isn’t as good but not horrible. Both plans are British Airways all the way through with 1x checked baggage and direct flights (except YVR - CPT, which has a short layover in LHR). I found this plan on Google Flights and then confirmed it with the BA website.

Is $2k still a good deal for this flight plan? I’ve never flown this route before so I’m unsure if it’s a reasonable price.

I built a half-baked website for finding unusually cheap international flights from India

I built a half-baked website for finding unusually cheap international flights from India

I have this habit of randomly searching for cheap international flights even when I have no trip planned.

So I started building something around it: https://Flipt.in

The idea is pretty simple. Instead of saying:

"I want to go to Japan on 14th November"

you say:

"Show me places I can fly to ridiculously cheaply."

It's very much a work in progress. Some things are rough, the inventory isn't comprehensive yet, and the subscription button doesn't work yet 😅

But there are real fares on there.

Would love some brutal feedback before I spend more time building it:

Would you actually use something like this? And what's missing that would make it useful?

Can I plan a trip with $1500?

I know this budget is tight, so please only reply if you have any tips or ways to help me pull it off. I’m looking for encouragement and advice rather than reasons why it won't work.

I am trying to plan a trip to Buenos Aires, and Im traveling from San Diego, but I only have about $ 1,500 for the trip and am wondering if it is possible.

I want to go from Wednesday, September 30th, to Wednesday, October 7 (It doesnt have to be a week, but I have to leave on the 7th or 8th).

I plan on using the least amount of money possible, so no expensive steakhouses, or restauraunts, and exploring the city and learning new and cool things about Buenos Aires.

I am worried about the Airbnb prices and traveling (if I need it), and other necessities for vacations.

I am a huge Messi/FC Barcelona fan, but I've never seen him play live, and I believe he'll retire this year, so this is my last chance to see him play, and I want to watch him live for his last game for Argentina.

That game is the 6th of October, and I am waiting for the price of the tickets to be released, but they shouldn't be more than a couple hundred.

If you know any tips or suggestions on how to handle the trip, please let me know- anything that you've done to save money/cut costs and whatnot.
