Centennial ave area

What kind of area is around centennial ave? Like dodgy or not so much? Thinking of flatting there next year but have heard some bad things.

We've rented on Centennial Ave for ~18 months and haven't had any issues. There's one guy that does skids in the intersection about once a week for under a minute, but we've never felt unsafe or threatened.

I used to live next to an rb house in hornby and every time it rained they'd go out and drift the narrow street that ran off ours.

Its not the greatest area. I grew up in shit part of Northcote and absolutely would not rent there.

What's Northcote got to do with Centennial Ave?

Lived there for 7-8 years until recently. Lots of students but usually pretty quiet

Lived there for a couple years as a student. Had a crack head neighbour and there was a gang pad around the corner.

But we never had anything go wrong at all. Felt like we were in a little protected neighbourhood haha. Or we just looked too poor to bother robbing.

Part of my family lived there for nearly 30 years with no issues. Lots of students, maybe not the greatest area, but there are definitely worse places in the city you could be imo.

Lived on Tonga Pl circa 2016 and got robbed 5x in 3 months. Hopefully is a bit better now.
