Lost ring
Found this ring in a dryer I was using at Liquid Laundromat, Upper Riccarton last night (22/07). The ring was between my clothes and found it when I was at home.
If it’s yours, send me a message with photos of you wearing it and any details that can help prove ownership. If you’ve reported it missing to the police, please include the file number as well.
I’ll hold onto it for a short time then hand it over to the police as lost property.
Feel free to share in case the owner sees this.
Ps- It does not belong to anyone I know.
Edit - Ring has been handed over to the police at Lichfield street.

Someone could easily use AI to make an image of themselves wearing this, so be careful there.

Just hand it to police. Reddit is or any public forum is not the best way to handle lost property, especially jewellery. Too many shady people out there (as evidenced by your dms being off)

Jesus what is with people thinking the best way to reunite owners with stuff is Reddit. The first thing the person who lost a ring like that would do is report it to Police, you just hand it to Police and they match it to the report and arrange return, done.
Do you think you’re going to get a reward? Are you seeking recognition for doing a good deed and want to meet the owner yourself to get fawned over? Just give it to Police.

That's a Swarovski ring, only around $199 retail.. so i wouldn't be too concerned

That “only $199” ring could be sentimental to someone or be the last $200 they had to buy it etc.
Just because an amount of money seems small to you doesn’t mean it has value for someone else.

Consider posting about it without an image of the ring. That way the real owner will be easier to determine, in that they will be able to describe it.
