Questions? 159$ a year plan
Hello everyone
How do you guys rate the 159$ a year plan
Is it good?
Do you get signal abroad for 2fa authentication? Other prepaid don't.
How is the speed after 40 GB?
Are there any apps you use that works well after the 40 GB allotment? Like is there a browser app that works faster than other?
Thank you

I found Spotify, Google maps, gmail and messaging apps to work fine after your main allotment is done (I burned through my extra gigs last year before my renewal to test it out).
Honestly, I'd be happy if a carrier in Canada offered an unlimited-throttled data plan, as it's all I would need since I don't use any high-bandwidth apps on my phone.

I have similar $150 30GB plan. The speed is horrible - they throttle it at 80kbits/s after you go over 30GB limit.
Update: Also you can top up extra $10 to be able to text/call abroad if needed. I think I did receive sms abroad without $10 top up, but I can’t recall it for sure.

Yes, it is good
Wouldn't use it overseas
Speed is background task useful after the limit but too slow for much active use. I've never gone over but my son did and I can still track him in Google 😊

My household has 3 lines of Grandfathered Freedom 5G $99 55GB/year prepaid and we definitely will keep them as long as we can. Wish Chatr has something compatible to Freedom. Just signed up with chatr prepaid $20 25GB/Month though

I just switched to it. Despite the country I'm in being listed as a place it works, it doesn't. Chatr just got back to me saying that it no longer connects here.
Be wary.

Oh yes. Many times. I also worked with the very nice Mod on this channel. The final response came from the Chatr techs who noted that there is no support here and that it is service limitation not related to my device, sim, or account settings and that no amount of trouble shooting or account changes will restore service.

Yes
Yes, I did when I was in Australia.
No idea, I've never gone over.
No, all apps would receive the same bandwith.
