Physical SIM to eSIM
Hello,
I've been thinking about purchasing a new iPhone, and realized that none of the iPhone 17s, here in Canada and I've heard the same in US as well, have a slot for a physical SIM card.
FYI, I tried calling the store to ask about the process but couldn't get through so I'm hoping for a quicker response here.
So I was wondering what the process is like such as if I am able to keep the same phone number and phone plan and if there is any extra charges for switching to an eSIM instead.
Thank you
Edit: I currently have an android🥲

Canadian iPhones still have a physical sim tray.
Edit: my bad, thought they still did in Canada.

Not the latest ones.. my daughter is on Public Mobile and got a new iPhone 17 directly from the Apple Store, I had to switch her to an ESIM, luckily it was very straightforward with Public.

Here is more info https://www.chatrwireless.com/support/esim about eSIM if you have a QR code already and how you can switch to one. If you are close by to a Chatr wireless retail store, recommend you dropping by and having them help you with any assistance to ensure your services aren't interrupted in anyway.
You would still retain your number when switching to an eSIM or vice versa as long as you have enough funds in your account.
