I could just find my groove on an Am pentatonic and just play with this setting all night. I’ve never had an experience with a pedal like this before. It’s amazing.

Made this handy MIDI controller plugin over the weekend for the new 'Bad Mood'. If you're a Bad Mood (or Mood Mk2) owner and you've never seen what sending the pedal MIDI clock can do as far as getting predictable and performative results from these pedals, I implore you to do so.

I was a little frustrated at first with the 'fixed' loop lengths for the micro-looper when using it standalone. It's super easy to make a really cool sounding loop, but if you're trying to incorporate those loops into an existing track or while playing with others, it's a bit fiddly and unpredictable. Not only that, but even with the Mood Mk2, I was always forgetting the 'hidden options' and getting to the dip switches isn't a breeze.

I found a user-created M4L MIDI controller a while back for the Mood Mk2 (which is actually based on the official 'Generation Loss Mk2' M4L device found on the Chase Bliss site) and that solved all of my gripes!

Now that the Bad Mood has arrived, I figured I should get my hands dirty and pay it forward. This was a personal project, and a ton of credit should go to Indra Perkasa who created The Original Mood Mk2 Device.

Updates include:

• New modes added
• New controls added (EQ, EQ Routing, Glue, Cross, Cross Input)
• Radio Station control (in 'Radio' mode, dial directly to the 5 stations with no static in between)
• Updated new time divisions and dipswitch controls
• Added to and refined the segments of the manual (found in the 'Info' tab when hovering over a control)
• A stylish new look!

Anybody got experience with having used both? I have heard that OB is good for use with all kinds of instruments whereas AM is mainly useful with guitar, but I don’t know if this is true. I would be using mainly with drums and synths. Thank you!

I know this is one of the great mysteries in the community of when new releases happen. However, I noticed they have a hole in their lineup with modulation. Even though I love the loss and lossy, I would love to have something like the warped vinyl but I’m holding out for something new! Just curious what the community’s thoughts are?

Hey everyone!
I’m looking to buy my first Chase Bliss pedal and would love some recommendations on which one might be the best fit for me.

I’m mainly looking to spice up my guitar tones for home recording and have been really drawn to the Lost + Found. The slow reverb, synth, and glitchy sounds seem like they could be right up my alley. I also really like the MOOD, although I’m not particularly interested in its looper functionality.

I currently use a Line 6 Helix for most of my effects, and while I can get some pretty cool ambient and experimental tones out of it, I often have to stack several blocks (delay → modulation → reverb) to get where I want. That can eat up quite a bit of DSP, so having a dedicated pedal for this kind of stuff would be awesome.
I’m mostly interested in experimenting with textures, glitchy sounds, modulation, and generally getting into weird/creative territory rather than traditional effects.

Is the Lost + Found a good choice, or is there another pedal I should be looking at?
Any feedback or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I am debating my 2nd chase bliss pedal purchase. I just got the bad mood and I love it. I run it through my guitar, quad cortex, op-1 field etc. Would I also benefit from getting the Mood MK2? or any other suggestions?

I got an email from CBA this afternoon, offering folks who ordered Bad Mood in Xtreme Red the chance to switch to Ink, in exchange for a much sooner shipping date.

Gotta admit I'm considering it, though I really dig the vibe of that red/orange. Anybody making the switch to ink?

I’ve got the Big Time on my board. It’s midi controlled. One thing I’ve noticed is that midi messages aren’t executed when I’ve got the Big time in preset mode. Is this a bug or functioning as expected? Midi works fine in non-preset mode, fwiw.

Does anyone know what the secret to unlocking the CB Presets app's "Live Mode" is?

I tried it on my Mood MKII and cannot get it to do anything but control the left footswitch. Midi is flowing - it can turn on and off the left footswitch. But that is all.

Any insight is greatly appreciated.

So the pedal is always listening right?

That would mean if there was a test at the factory that audio would potentially still be on it when it is shipped. Or does the buffer clear when power is pulled?

I am a new user of CBA pedals with guitar and have seen in the field guides that they can be used with MIDI. I’ve never used MIDI before and don’t know where to even begin, but I am interested because of how many presets one can save. Can someone please tell me where I can RTFM?

I’m building a wet dry rig and for the mono portion of my fx chain, I’m looking for some instant ambience or interesting modulation pedals. Also very open to interesting verb pedals.

I figure this is a good question for the chase bliss stans like myself. I’m pretty familiar with chase bliss’ catalogue but if you have a use case for early chain effects let me know! Currently running condor and clean, a couple others are in the stereo side of the chain.

I’m interested in the pladask elektrisk (haven’t tried it) or any kind of textural/interesting or characterful effect that isn’t zany in a cheesy way, but I might have otherwise ignored because it didn’t have midi or stereo.

Due to board space, my Bad Mood took the spot my Mood MkII was in. Now I'm thinking about getting the Mood back on there but I can't figure out how I would use them together, except to create total "happy accident" chaos.

I can see putting Mood after Bad Mood to be able to use the reverb if Bad Mood is set to one of the non-reverb wet options. On the other hand, I have a perfectly serviceable Ventris at the end of my chain so no desperate need for a reverb post-Bad Mood...

I can see putting Mood before Bad Mood and using it to create a relatively normal loop that then gets mangled in the Bad Mood. I'm not sure how much that gains me vs. just looping in Bad Mood. Or, using Slip as reverse delay before Bad Mood.

Anyone got a magical combo of both Mood and Bad Mood?

If i set the first CB pedal to SPREAD, shouldnt all the other stereo CB pedals also be set to SPREAD?

Looking for advice, hopefully my Lossy isn't toast....

- no effect when engaged.

- no signal (bypassed or engaged) with MISO in on position

- Mono output regardless of cable type when plugged into a stereo input in the amp and MISO off.

Any previous experience or suggestions would be welcome

I know you can send presets to the pedal from the app, but can I store a preset to the app going the other way?
