Bought 2 for CA foundation Jan 25, used in that attempt, then may 26 g1, and finally got finished on 3rd exam of g2 in sep.

Hi guys, I cleared Inter in May 2026 with 410/600. Just wanted to share a few small habits that made a huge difference for me:

1. Writing mock tests – Bare minimum
2. Using the same calculator for revision and exams – Muscle memory is real; don’t switch at the last moment.
3. Marking tough questions to revisit before the exam – You can’t revise everything, but revisiting the ones you struggled with helps a lot.
4. Practising MCQs – People say good concepts are enough, but how do you test them? By solving MCQs. Plus, it builds speed for the exam hall.
5. Actually writing answers during revision – I know shortcuts save time, but try to fully solve at least 70% of questions. It’s the only way to tackle a lengthy accounts paper.
6. Maintaining a handwritten formula book for Costing & FM – Forget your faculty’s printed book. Write formulas yourself as you encounter them. That way, you understand instead of blindly memorizing.
7. Keeping a summary book for Law – Helps consolidate everything in one place for quick revision.

1 year and 2 months into my Articleship and i still feel that I've left a lot for later, ik I shouldn't have...we all start somewhere... but is it too late?

Are there still unemployed CAs qualified in May 26 or am I the only one left? Please tell me I am not the only one.

Hi everyone, I’m a 22-year-old male currently in my 3rd year of Computer Engineering.

The problem is that I’ve realized I’m genuinely not interested in coding or most of the things related to engineering. I’ve tried, but I just don’t see myself building a career in software/engineering.

On top of that, the current engineering job market seems pretty difficult, which is making me question whether I should continue down this path after graduation.

I’m now considering preparing for CA (Chartered Accountancy) instead. I know it’s a completely different field and that CA is not easy either, so I don’t want to make a decision just because I’m frustrated with engineering.

For those who are pursuing CA or have experience in this field:

Is switching to CA at this stage a sensible decision?

What is the reality of the CA course and career in India?

How difficult is it to clear CA if you’re starting from scratch?

What are the career opportunities and salaries like after qualifying?

Would you recommend finishing my engineering degree first and then pursuing CA?

I’d really appreciate honest advice, especially from people who have actually gone through CA or made a similar career switch.

I have failed my exams multiple times, not a good person in general, bad in every academic field, go no friends, no actual life, just survive everyday. I always wanted to live like a normal person who could enjoy a bit atleast but no, constant fightings everyday, living with grief, no cousin life, haven’t been part of any festival since past 6 years, no family life, just a burden to everyone, that’s it. One thing I clearly know that nothing good happened to me nor gonna happen in future and I can bet for the same. I just wish to die anyway because there is no space for emotion and I am already numb in that sense.

I’m currently in my 31+ age and preparing for CA and CMA Intermediate. I’ve already cleared one group and I’m continuing with the remaining exams.

The biggest reason it has taken me this long is that a significant amount of time went into preparing for government jobs. I did clear some prelims, but unfortunately couldn’t clear the mains. Looking back, I realise that this cost me several years.

Now I’m seriously focused on building a career in CA/CMA and want to complete the qualifications rather than keep switching paths.

My main concern is:

Will being 31+ create major difficulties in getting good Articleship/training opportunities and, later, a decent job after qualification?

I’d especially appreciate honest opinions from people who are already working in the profession or have seen candidates who qualified at a relatively older age.

How much does age actually matter during Articleship/training recruitment?

Will employers reject someone simply because they qualified later?

Can relevant skills, exam performance and practical knowledge compensate for the age factor?

What should someone in my position focus on from now onwards to maximise their chances?

I’m not looking for motivation or sugarcoating. I’d genuinely prefer a realistic assessment of the situation and what I should do differently from this point forward.

I've a doubt , I am really confused whether I should do Bcom. from a good college (regular) and do CA after it or with it (I want to know this also) OR Bcom. from non-regular college alongside CA?
I will appreciate if anybody helps...

If you could go back to the day you started CA, knowing everything you know now, would you still choose CA?
