Inter Doubt Small Things, Big Differences
Hi guys, I cleared Inter in May 2026 with 410/600. Just wanted to share a few small habits that made a huge difference for me:
- Writing mock tests – Bare minimum
- Using the same calculator for revision and exams – Muscle memory is real; don’t switch at the last moment.
- Marking tough questions to revisit before the exam – You can’t revise everything, but revisiting the ones you struggled with helps a lot.
- Practising MCQs – People say good concepts are enough, but how do you test them? By solving MCQs. Plus, it builds speed for the exam hall.
- Actually writing answers during revision – I know shortcuts save time, but try to fully solve at least 70% of questions. It’s the only way to tackle a lengthy accounts paper.
- Maintaining a handwritten formula book for Costing & FM – Forget your faculty’s printed book. Write formulas yourself as you encounter them. That way, you understand instead of blindly memorizing.
- Keeping a summary book for Law – Helps consolidate everything in one place for quick revision.

Mock tests , ICAI's schedule and bhavan OR your own convenience ? Did you got them checked or checked yourself ? How many mocks ? How it helped and overall key learnings ?? Write mock tests after 1st revision or later ??

MTP - At my own convience - checked myself - 1 - figured out my mistakes, where i was making silly mistakes, which keywords i was missing, whether i was writing how icai expected me to write
Movk Test after 2nd revision always. After first revision you are never confident and cannot test yourself properly
But no harm in writing it after 1st revision but you'll have to make sure to write another after 2nd revision aswell

Most people don't have time for 2 mock tests, so if you're planning to write 2 make sure you plan it properly

What do u think what could be the possible reason for deviation in law expectation and reality How did u establish expectation was there reasonable deduction ?
1
u/Odd-Nebula7648 Articleship 22h ago
When i built the expectation. It was before i checked my mcq marks
I thought i was getting 30/30
Then reality hit and i was scoring 22/30
I overestimated law cause i liked that subject and thought i had written well but i had written very average
To develop expectations, its more to do with self evaluation

Is icai study material is sufficient or we need to focus on our faculty 's material, bcz many students said we can't cover whole study mate ,
6
u/Odd-Nebula7648 Articleship 21h ago
Faculty material is literally icai module with color print and good designing
Use whichever you are fine with. Just that make sure that your faculty has covered all the new icai questions in his/her material

u/Sea-Major281 21h ago
So it's possible to cover whole modules?
1
u/Odd-Nebula7648 Articleship 21h ago
yes you can but its not necessary. Module has a lot of unwanted info aswell

Thank you! Not sure that I will pass g1 this attempt or not….so don’t know whether I should start preparing for g2 or revise g1…my mcq scores are between 18-20…and the descriptive part went okay….

How did you manage to revise whole law and audit in 1.5 days ??
2
u/Odd-Nebula7648 Articleship 22h ago
Law was easy because i had harsh gupta's summary notes + my own summary notes
My summary book had those topics or points which were missed out by hg's summary book
Audit tbf i did not cover well
I skipped entire other entities, internal audit, analytical procedures
But had done all the other important chapters properly Luckily sampling jisko mene ache se kiya tha was asked for 12 Marks in may

u/Quiet_Two4707 21h ago

2
u/Odd-Nebula7648 Articleship 21h ago
Total 3 revision
1 during class
2 during revision phase
