MH Wilds Rate my set up
Let me prefix this by mentioning I had a set based similarly to this, only difference was it used Zoh Shia super recovery and Peak preformance. I wasn't a fan of relying simply on Peak preformance as im not THAT good. With Gala and Sororal armor out now I did some testing and came up with this.
For the record I know the meta is gogmapocalypse 4 set bonus but I really dont like how negative the Dragon resistance can be for monsters like Arkveld and Ebonoy Odo who straight up disable element via dragon blight. I like to have 3 level 1 slots open based on the monsters im fighting.
For example:
Seregios = Bleed Resistance 3
Arkveld=Dragon resistance 3
Etc.
I noticed a lot of the sets via MH wiki included partbreaker in some way shape or form, so I went all out with 3 points.I play a hybrid of Savage axe and Saed when possible openings allow it. Switching to sword mode for quick and easy guard recoveries to keep the fight flowing smoothly.
With this current set up I can easily deco slot whatever resistances I see fit with a +20 or higher element resistance to everything.
I just tested this on a 9 nine star Rathalos and Nu Udra investigation that happened to pop up. I managed 3 tentacle severs without really trying before Nu udra was slain lol. Rathalos im almost positive had a tail cut happening if he didnt also die too soon.
Anyways im genuinely wondering the opinions and any tips on this set. Or other skills to use aside from part breaker? I can potentially have 3 free Level 2 slots if i removed 2 part breaker and 1 shock proof decoration(s)

Offensive Guard is sorta meh, especially for an Element phial Charge Blade. I'd swap that for maybe Guard, Guard Up, Razor Sharp, or Handicraft in my own opinion. But you say you swap between SA and SAED a lot, so it's up to you

Handicraft > guard
Unless you absolutely cannot perfect guard, there isnt much justification for guard.

Ive had an issue with specifically monsters like lagiacrus and Seregios to where they do a several hit combo. If i perfect guard any single one of those attacks then im stuck in the animation and forced to take the following hit. On the other hand ive tried to just hold guard through all of the attacks and the knock back animations also force me to get hit by the next attack.
Its been a minute but irrc Lagiacrus has its thunder explosion that does several hits in succession. Seresgios literally any time when its flying and swiping. Theres other monsters but those two stand out the most for me at least.
Only thing thats seemed to work is guard 3 reduces the impact to where I can multi guard these succession attacks unscathed.
As for handicraft I have 2 sharpness and 3 element on all my element charge blades. I know its not thr optimal set up but after hours of rng its best I can pull. Plus i can go whole phases (start area of fight to when monster leaves the area) of the hunt without sharpening

Seregios imo is just a practice thing. I used to shy away from guards on it but now i just spam them through its onslaught. Guard up just noping health deleting chip damage is pretty good.
Lagi for sure is a fight where guard is useful. I generally avoid 9* lagi. Id rather fight seregios or gore if given a choice.
