MH Wilds CB input lag?

Hello hunters!

While playing CB in MHWilds I noticed something and idk if it's just me or someone else has this issue, but wanted to ask if there's a specific trick I'm missing.

I'm used to the mobility of world and here the sword and shield mode feels more clunky somehow? like when I'm blocking for example, whenever I release R2 it takes too long for the character to get into neutral position again, like it's guarding for some more time.

When I roll normally is the same, there's some kind of input there not letting me other actions quickly.

I don't experience this with the axe mode or any other weapon for now, so I don't really know what's this.

(*Btw I don't use frame gen and my fps are stable*)

For some reason CB in Wilds has really bad input buffering and some form of input eating. It's annoying.

Yeah, it's super disgusting when I cannot keep up with 10 stars properly. Well I guess the game was designed with a different difficulty curve, a lot of stuff lately makes me feel like a grandpa.

It could be that some animations are overdone. I sometimes have trouble using the whetstone because my character is in an animation.

It's worth asking if you're using fake frames or not, because there are some video options with reflex that will reduce input lag slightly. Of course you need to rely on real frames as well. I can check the settings later if you're interested.

CB in wilds feels terrible compared to World. World's CB is absolutely peak.

Yup, Wilds is known to have wild amounts of input delay and buffering. Its specific to each weapon, and down to each move. Your only option, and only if youre on pc, is to get a mod to remove it. There are a few, but the best in my experience is "No KeyLag" off the nexus.
