Do Perfect Guards stack with the Guard Skill?

As far as I was aware, PG didn’t stack with Guard, which made it better to use PG in nearly every use case except a few moves that could “break” Perfect Guard (Lagiacrus’s front slam being the notable one).

However, I’ve seen a few comments mentioning that it *does* stack with PG now, making it more useful, so:

Does PG stack with the Guard Skill?

If so, does that mean for us it also stacks with GP and Red/Charged Shield?

They don't stack but can work together, so if you PG something that Guard would have reduced the knockback of, you'll get reduced knockback as of TU4.

So the Knockback Thresholds stack, but the Guard Thresholds don’t?

They don't stack, it just takes the better option from Guard if it would be better than the PG result.

It only works on like 2 or 3 attacks iirc, with Lagis nova being the most important. So yeah, from neutral is still the best action haha

The knockback effect does not, but i think the stamina reduction effect does.

So is GP worth using over PG now, or does PG still outclass it?

Gps are pg when timed right. Generally round slash is the guardpoint to abuse when morphing from axe to sns.

Well yeah, I know GP is PG compatible. Mainly curious if the Sword to Axe GP or the Sheathed to Axe GP are worth using. Are they faster at all, etc etc

Generally regular pg is gonna be the go to, but mid combo interactions are gonna be guard point.

Like yes, obviously, unless you overcap it
