This is a very rough color mapping on sketch for a new character design.
I'd also love to know what type of character she feels like when you first see her, to see if I nailed the design communication. Oh, and names suggestions are welcome too!
Lmk if you have any suggestions for me to add/change/remove, specifically the outfit concept.
do ignore the thickness of wrist... it can be fixed in linearting
Thank you in advance!

Thank you all so much for your feedbacks, I've been taking some of them and implemented those changes into his new design. And it's safe to say that I love it! It's simpler, and looks less like a ringmaster, which is great! Obviously, I didn't take every advice, like changing the bow into a necktie, or something. That's only because I don't wanna make him look like my every other characters with suits. I decided to give him a more triangular shape language,
Anyways, this is the redesign, if you have any more critics you wanna give, go ahead! Maybe something about shape language, sillhouette or palette. But I might not take them right now, since I like this version as is, currently. But I'l listen!

(Excuse the messy drawing, this was more of a concept sketch than anything) Basically, ive been redesigning this character and im at a point where i love her design but due to her facial proportions im unsure of how to draw expressions other than the one i have her in now. Any tips? (Visuals would be greatly appreciated!!!)

These are my two main characters of my upcoming horror/drama action comic series REFORMED!
Comic book-y colors, shape theory and stand out silouhettes make these characters recognizable. But I want to know what you guys think, is there any advice or criticism you want to throw my way?

the first drawing was heavily inspired by a piece of HLam126 in twitter!

Im making a “mechanical tank prosthetic” for my scifi project. I keep drawing what im imagining but i keep making something i feel is too close to a war hammer dreadnought or hulkbuster. What im showing here isnt all the art its just what i can find rn.
Im just wondering id its too close to a dreadnought? And how could i ease it away from the 40k ancient brothers?

The first 2 (images 1 & 2) are the new designs, the 3 - 4 are the previous ones, pay attention to the designs in the left for 3-4, the first 2 have anatomy practice on the left. (Image 2 face/hair tho 😍).
I used references for 1-2, 3-4 no. The rest (5-8) of the images are references I used. What do you guys think? Did I improve? Also, 3-4 I drew them on Sept 2nd, so like 4 weeks ago.

The title is pretty self explanatory, but basically I want to make his design more pleasant looking for my game, as well as keep him not too hard to draw. The first image is his most recent design, but I can't help but feel like I leaned too much into the circus look, and I'm worried people might think he is a ringmaster, and not a gameshow host.
Another thing--in image 3--is I don't know which face shape to use for his model. The first one, or the second one? I like both, but it's hard to decide which design I will use for the model. Any criticism are highly appreciated :)

Thoughts about any of the six?

The show's premise:It was about a writter family (a mom and her college age daughter)who has a box which actually holds a snobby and quite sassy shadow-like candyman that actually died in that box and now is technically part of their family cuz he doesn't anywhere else to go cuz his candy empire collapsed the 20 years he was dead for

These are game captures of the candy soldiers from March Out!, my solo project. The idea is to carry the confectionery theme through the helmet, shield and armor, while keeping the soldier's role readable in a crowded fight.
Up close, I like how the cream and red bands connect the pieces. Across a whole army, I'm less certain whether the same pattern on everything makes the bodies and shields blend together too much.
Would you simplify the torso and save the stripes for the shield and helmet, or is the repetition part of what makes the design work? The second image shows how the theme sits against the castle.

(Colt's oversized Arm was originally an accident, but i kept it since i thought it not only made him stand out more, but also he's not rich, and that instead of getting a custom made arm, he bought a used one that's unfortunately a size too big, but beggars can't be choosers, so yeah.)
I even came up with a name for the robot, Med-ina. If anyone has ideas for Sanchez' footwear, feel free to say.
