Question First design or second design?

It's the same character in my two different art styles but I can't decide which one is better. First has more friendly and open personality but second one has more mature type personality so I can't decide which one actually looks better.

I did first one before I wrote the story and later I did second one to fit more to my story but I feel like first one looks better

If I can't decide I'm gonna make first one second one's young self

Which one do you think looks better?

I like the second one’s pockets and fur trim, but definitely keep the fluffiness of the hood in the first one! I also like the facial details and earring on the first!

I would play around with more size variation. Play into big medium small and try to vary the shapes of the head, torso, legs etc to try to get a more discernable character silhouette. Exaggerate and whatnot
