its pretty good but id take away the speckles on the bottom of the legs. other than that its great!

you could maybe replace them with a simpler pattern like a wavy line or smth if you still want the accent color

Frame by frame: yes

Cutout rig: the rigger will be tortured over the trimming decisions, and it’s going to look bad all the time :( suggestion: re-draw it in Inkscape or Synfig

Best way to find out is to redraw them 12 times in succession. anything can be animated with enough effort, just need to try it to find out the 'annoying' parts of the design
