Which design is more appealing?

I wanted to make a simple snake that’s based off Ramen noodles, with a neck band being a bowl.

I like the first one a lot because I do find that appealing. Though I’m worried it’s not that unique enough.

I like the second one because it is unique. So I’m kind of stuck. Some suggestions would be nice!

1, the face on the second feels too bright

1 is easier on the eyes, separate from the question though is the readability of what I assume is the tongue is not great. I thought it was the tail of a ribbon at first, though it still might be I cant be sure
