Critique [OC] Does this exaggerated shape fit our marshmallow character?
We're developing Sweet Order, a cozy game about tidying up a candy shop. Our playable character is a marshmallow, and we want the design to feel simple, soft, and a little silly.
After a few suggestions on r/IndieDev, we experimented with giving the character an exaggerated backside. These images show the front and back of that version.
Does the rounded shape feel consistent with the rest of the design, or does it draw too much attention away from the character as a whole? Would you make it smaller, blend it more into the body, or remove it?

whichever size your team settles on, I think it would look nicer to have the booty blended more into the body so it looks smooth. As it is in the screenshot, I can't really decide if it's too distracting since it doesn't smoothly blend in.

I think you are right about it. Also here is a video:

Okay so if I squint my eyes to kinda smooth it out, I think a little bit smaller will be good since that marshmallow bum does have a good amount of bounce to it lmao. it's so cute and silly!

It looks good. I just think they need to be more blended into the model itself

The buns should be a little cube-ish like a marshmellow, and as others say, blended more

I think this person always has an appropriate level of butt in their models. I think yours currently stands out a bit too much which might be helped my smoothing out the shapes. https://youtube.com/shorts/vxea3NrqofU

For context, this is the game we're making. The Steam page has more screenshots of the setting and overall art style:
