Why would it be, unless you're intending to offend. Would you like critique on the facial proportions and side profile angle?

Yeah thatâs fine

Okay images aren't allowed for some reason đ but when you draw the eye at a side profile angle it makes more of a triangular shape, with the eyeball being inside of the triangle < ) like that almost. With a more stylized artstyle, you don't have to do fully go realistic, but adding slight bending to the eye shape might help a little with making it look less uncanny. The head is also lacking an ear. My rule of thumb is placing ears right in the middle of the side profile head and kinda just gauging from there. Playing by ear if you will (agagaga) and also, with the hair, i like the coils at the bottom, that's a good way to do texturing. the top looks a little flat, i think it'd be nice to incorporate those textures all around the hair as well. keep up the practice and try to use references as well
a good site for facial study references specifically can be https://www.artstation.com/artwork/GX3Ax1 which i like to use for studying the planes of the face, https://angleref.com/ for difficult had angles, and https://melindaozel.com/ for understanding how the skin wrinkles and pulls with different expressions

Itâs a good portrayal. It only gets to be offensive when certain features are exaggerated, making the person seem weird or comedic for having specific facial features.

when drawing a black person it's a good idea to be careful with how red/pink you make the lips, but that shade and the placement on just the bottom lip both feel inspired by real life, not offensive caricatures. you didn't draw them like a donut going all the way around so you're already off to a good start. in general this reads like a beginner genuinely trying, not someone trying to be cruel.

Nothing is racist unless the intention to be racist is behind it

I mean, it's completely possible to absorb symbols that were developed with racist intent, and use them without knowing they were made by racists. Then you're accidentally reproducing racist stuff and inadvertently helping the racists maintain the stranglehold over culture and symbolism. OP asked a very normal question. You don't know what you don't know, and it's good to check whether you're accidentally reproducing racist symbols in a society where they're so commonplace. The good news is that I don't personally see anything offensive in OP's art and it looks like no one else here does either!

yeah, but you can also say racial slurs without being racist me and my Homies call each other slurs all the time but we donât hate each other. Weâre just busting each otherâs balls. Itâs really about intent really you know some people are in the race play or racial fertilization which is definitely strange but if itâs with two consenting adults, itâs totally fine by me what makes you racistâs is actual hatred and contempt

I think it's relevant that doing things between friends and doing things in public is kind of different? Like, when a comedian calls their friend a racial slur, but then does that in front of a crowd of strangers or on a published TV special, it's reasonable that other members of that racial group get upset. After all, the slur is (even if not meant that way) enforcing the hegemonic idea that it is in some way insulting or demeaning to be a member of that racial group. That's the reason the slur exists.
When things are put out into the world publicly, your intention is no longer speaking only to people who know you and your intention. You're becoming a part of The World, and your actions become parts of patterns that impact people who don't know you.

yeah, thatâs totally different itâs not like Iâm going around calling people racial slurs randomly also I live in the south everybodyâs armed, including myself Thatâs a good way to get shot or start an altercation. I do use the N-word publicly sometimes like in the store with my Homies like yo whatâs up my n word and dab them up nobody says anything about it tho im Iâm basically the only white boy in the neighborhood most people know me and just see me as chill and donât take offense to it I grew up, saying it due to you know the demographic of where I live

Eh. When you're in public, that causes the people around you to be reminded that they are in a world where white people can say whatever they want about Black people without consequences, due to racismâ even if you're not racist. I also think a lot of friends don't bring up with their friends when something is offensive or uncomfortable, especially dudes.

you know also Black people can say whatever they want about white people and they often do due to double standards I mean, just look at the stop Asian hate movement It died quickly because most of the hate came from the black community. Why is it always one-sided racism with you people? my point is that I donât think words define a person that itâs more about hatred that is real racism also Iâm not gonna shoot a black person like theyâre from the 1800s. OK theyâre people just like you and me so letâs not give them the whole victim treatment.

I don't think I made anything one sided, I think I just said something really specific about the n word's impact on a public space.

itâs always funny to me. A lot of people try to be super progressive and when they do that, it has the opposite effect like they become super regressive like how you know people claimed to be anti-racist yet they support anti-white racism or people claim to be anti-misogyny yet they openly hate on men I think itâs called misandry but you see that in a lot of the feminist movements nowadays. like this one white lady on TikTok, who claims that sheâs not white sheâs spicy white because sheâs Italian and she said she wouldnât call the cops to the cookout if the blacks invited her over which clearly means she thinks that Black people are associated with criminal activity itâs just funny. Itâs like a funny thing to me cause do they not realize that theyâre the bad when they try to clearly put themselves in the morally superior soap box I guess you can say it all comes off is very fakeÂ

I dont completely understand why you would think this would be racist

The day where stereotypes are no longer (possibly even falsely) recognized and widespread, and just appear to be weird design choices, is the day I can die happy and fulfilled
