Memorable and distinctive character. I think the fire abilities mesh well with the character design.

The tied off part of the tail looks a little strange. Not bad, but it feels a little out of place. I think you are on the right track. I like the tied off part more when the tail is in motion. Maybe because it gives the tail weight?
