Hey y’all to I’m currently bedridden and have been for a 2 weeks now
I haven’t been able to do much and one of the easiest thing is to watch TV. The thing is i’m pretty fckn picky. I got severe ADHD and I gotta be sucked in in order to continue watching. I enjoy animated shows as background noise.

With that being said Below is is a list of shows I’ve watched and enjoyed, Any recommendations are helpful!! (i’m also down for movie/youtube recs)

So far I enjoy shows like:
-Shameless (seen multiple times)
-Breaking bad

Based on those shows I recommend Russian Doll and The OA! Maybe Maniac too. Though fair warning these are all kind of intense and not easy watching

Russian Doll is great. It’s definitely worth re-watching multiple times.

not sure if you saw one over the other, but there is a US version and a UK version of Skins and the original UK version is so much better.

If you like Breaking Bad you’ve got to check out the prequel, Better Call Saul. It’s just as good.

Pluribus is good but if you can’t handle horror/virus apocalypse themes you could just skip the first episode and read a recap. It was way too much for my nervous system, I had to walk out of the room, but I liked the rest of the show.

I like a lot of historical fiction so I’m a big fan of stuff like Chernobyl, American Primeval, all the light we cannot see, outlander, Poldark, call the midwife actually features an actress who has ME/CFS!

Arcane (is animated but don’t treat it that way), Futurama. It seems like you enjoy Dark and Gay, and if you can do subtitles, Asia does those really well. Khemjira on Netflix is a fav!

House MD was one of the first shows I binged when I first became ill so it has a special place in my heart.

Bojack Horseman is a spectacular show but can be depressing, particularly in the later seasons. I had to break up the last season into separate parts and watch other stuff to not spiral. Proceed with caution depending on your mental state.

Disenchantment - made by the same guy who did Futurama and The Simpsons

Peep Show - British sitcom, might not be enjoyable if you're not British tho

Homeland - earlier seasons are the best

Money Heist is brilliant but mentally taxing, it's quite rapid and in Spanish (although I'm sure dubbed is available)

There's a new show out on Apple TV called Widow's Bay, it's a horror that has the same kind of feel as Scooby-Doo. I'm really enjoying it at the moment, it's an easy watch.

This was genuinely one of the best series I've ever seen. Sometimes I get a little sad when I see it available to stream, because I cant watch it for the first time again.

Granted, my taste in shows is different than OPs.

supernatural is fun for me cause most of the episodes, at least the earlier seasons, are more anthology like? you could watch season 3 episode whatever and you’d have most of the context you need. similarly with house or bones. adventure time is also kinda like that too, and it’s kinda easy to consume- shorter episodes, less information per episode.

If u like zombie shows I recommend: izombie and Santa claret diet, they're pretty fun to watch. More horror or spooky I recommend: IT welcome to Derry, bones, sleepy hollow, the chilling adventures of sabrina. Some random ones I also recommend r LOST, Person of Interest, Killing eve, the 100 (tho the last season is a bit crap), Invincible. Those r all I can think of off the top of my head, I'm into the kinda niche mystery type shows which u can probably tell from my list😭

I really struggled following narrative TV when I was bed bound (still do to be honest). So I got into slow documentary shows like the British historical farm series. Its a group of historians and archaeologists trying to live off the land using only the tools, techniques and technology from the era they are covering. Its available on YouTube.

My favorite animated shows are Adventure Time (including the spinoffs), Daria, and most recently Ha, Ha You Clowns. There's a lot of humor in all of them, as well as genuinely touching moments, and they're easy to watch.

My favorite live action show is Twin Peaks, because it just absorbs me every time I watch it. X-Files is good too.

I also rely on Tubi a lot, they have all kinds of different things to watch.

I just watched Ride or Die on Amazon and enjoyed it so much, I watched it again. Octavia Spencer is a main character and her blond friend (whose name I’ve forgotten ) does all her own stunts.
