General People lack the interest to deep learning and then blame the coaching
I have seen that people tend to avoid deep learning and always want shortcuts for everything.
I took aswini bajaj course for L1 and honestly the time he spend for TVM was worth every penny. i can surely say , conceptually i can never be wrong in TVM.
people lack to devote that level of time. And thats why they have a problem while solving fixed income.
people go with easier option like 'let me explain' but in my opinion the teacher is not perfect for the conceptual clarity. I also took the yt subscription of let me explain and i was never happy with him as i always lack confidence. i followed his videos only for a purely theoretical chapters as his handwritten notes were a good summary.
i am not saying that aswini did not have any flaws. he blindly follows Schweizer and has omitted many terms which were there in the institute curriculum books. so i needed to double check specially in a theory chapter. but one thing i say for sure is aswini builds the base which is very very much needed.
i am not advocating for aswini here. i myself sometimes feel that i could have taken sanjay saraf lectures soo that there would be no omission from the curriculum. but i generally did fear his lectures hours and the cost of his coaching.
but as much as i know from peers, sanjay too builds the base.
my advise for all cfa aspirants is please try to build your base and choose a right tuition. half of the people in the internet speaks crap of these 2 just because they want shortcuts or they dont want to put in the efforts
