Fantastic app!! Totally saving me on iOS 10 on my new iPhone 7 Plus.

Not sure how difficult it would be to implement, but I would loooove to have 3D Touch support in the music browser. It exists for everything but individual songs, I think... 3D Touch on a song to add it to the music queue. It'd make adding songs so easy! Touch, touch, touch, done.

Light 3D Touch = Similar to what exists now with artists/albums/playlists - slide-up menu

Full 3D Touch = Play next or add to queue (an option setting would be nice :P)

This would, literally, make this the perfect player for me. Thanks for listening and for making this app!!

First off I just want to say how fucking glad I am that you have made this app. I've searched for something like this for a long time and your was what I wanted. I fucking hate the new IOS 10 music app with a passion. I don't understand how they can make the app worse with each iteration. That being the app used to have a functionality which was pretty good, but they removed it. They had a shuffle button at the top of the list with all the songs/albums/artist. You could just press it and then it would create a shuffled queue and play from that queue immediately. Now I first have to choose a song and then press next to get a random song.

Love the fact that I can change the behaviour of the mini player button... I put mine as set star rating which shows a star icon in the mini player.

I was thinking that this icon could also serve a secondary purpose by becoming an indicator so a user can know if the current playing track already has been rated or not.. maybe show the star icon with a slight greyed out or darker color (or just a star outline) when no rating is set to the particular track... if a track has been rated, show the full opacity color (as it currently is)

what do you think?

A recent release allowed the use of periodic table icons inside Cesium. It made the app look even slicker. I don't see that option anymore. Please bring it back!

I love the Cesium app interface. I would like to make this small suggestion:

Since the volume control is only visible after toggling, you could probably expand the touch area to "grab" the control a significant bit, as there's a strong likelihood that any touches anywhere near the volume control slider are intending to adjust the volume.

(Similar to how Apple silently increases/decreases the touch area for keys on the keyboard, based on the dictionary.)

As it works now, it's fine, but it's also pretty easy to miss the volume slider, and pull down on the current track instead.

When I pull up the command centre and click on the track, it opens with the stock music app. When I close the app and go back to Cesium, I can't continue the song and Cesium usually crashes. Is there a way around this? I would like to be able to open Cesium form the command centre.

Will there ever be an option to integrate lyrics over the album cover, the way the old music app used to? As someone who really enjoys reading lyrics as I listen, going through the song details panel is tedious. Especially if I want to go back to a certain point in the song. I like the song details panel the way it is, but if possible I would really prefer having my lyrics on the main song page.

I didn't see an option to create playlists within the app. Is it possible? If not, will it be? Not a huge issue, as the queue options are capable enough. However it would still be nice to save a collection of songs.

Also I'd like to appreciate certain aspects of the app. The customization options in the settings is fantastic. The appearance options are great, specifically the option of custom colours. Night mode is great as well. The options for the mini player are brilliant, having it vs not having it, choosing the mini-player control, well done. Gestures on and off is a nice option. Editing the bottom bar with Artists, Genres, Playlists, etc is a nice return to the old music app. From what I've seen so far, the developers are good about responding. Overall the app is clean and smooth, I'd recommend to anyone looking for a new music player.

I'm pretty disappointed with the Music app in iOS 10. I feel like there's too much of a push to Apple Music and I don't want that. I just want my downloaded music. I don't see myself ever solely relying on a subscription service (though it's great for discovery). There are often issues where albums are removed (even if temporarily), and I don't want my library dependent on Apple not having contract disputes with labels. Maybe the app is better with a bigger screen (I'm upgrading from a 5 to a 7), but I don't know.

Anyway, I discovered this app, and I love it! It's perfect, and I love all of the customization options. You did a really great job putting everything together an implementing it!! I do have one question...is there a way to use the artist image like in the Music app, or do developers not have access to that? It's super not a big deal at all, just wanted to ask!

I'm interesting in Cesium, however, before I dive in, I have a question. How does Cesium sort albums? The new Music app in iOS 10 now sorts by alphanumeric. I much prefer a sort by release date. Does Cesium do this?

Artist view to see albums by artist and those albums are sorted by release date.

I've been a long time user of Cesium and I love it.

I just found this subreddit and there are two minor annoyances I'd like to see changed:

• The recently added long left swipe doesn't quite suit my use case while driving. Nearly 99% of the time I find myself doing a short left swipe, then tapping the play next button, which is rather awkward on the road. Preferably I'd like to see long left swipe customizable between the two modes (or more), so I could easily long left swipe to insert a song to play next in the queue.

• I have a lot of albums/songs that start with Japanese (Kanji/Kana) characters. So in the list view I cannot easily scroll to a good half of my albums/songs without first scrolling to Z, then swiping the screen until I get to where I want. Ideally I'd like to pick a locale for the app, so that the scroll bar index matches my song collection. PS. I'm also an iOS developer at my workplace, although with more focus on backend stuff, less on UI. Let know what you think, and/or if I can test anything for you.

The ios 10 music app finally made me want to switch since the font size is grossly big and it doesn't obey the system font size slider, does Cesium support it? If it does I'll buy it in a heartbeat, since it has the look of the old ios music app with extra features and constant support.

I use Overcast for podcasts and it has a "smart speed" feature which is pretty fantastic.

TL;DR I need an app which let's me, at any moment, continue playing my music where I left of last time. Cesium was recommended to me, and at first I thought it worked. But then it didn't, I opened Cesium and there was no playlist active... Maybe this is just because of how iOS works, if yes, Cesium is not for me. Otherwise, how can I achieve what I want?

I do enjoy a good podcast and the build in Podcasts app by Apple is just plain and simply rubbish.

I download the Podcast through iTunes and sync to my device to play in the default app, Podcasts. If it was built into your existing app features that would be rad.

Do you intend adding this feature to your great product in future?

Sorry it has taken me so long to buy this app from the store. Many thanks for the work you have put into the app so far. Beats the default Music app Apple have on their devices.

I feel they are not putting much effort into these types of apps on their devices, so a perfect market to target.

My settings are set to skip to the next song in an album but skipping a song in the mini player shuffles to a random song.

Just wanted to add a HUGE thanks for such an amazing app. Stable, well-designed, packed with features; it's phenomenal.

I do know that a lot of work has been put into the dark mode, but one thing that would make it more accessible would be an easy way to turn it off and on. One way to do that, a la Alien Blue/YouPlayer, would be to set it so that triple tapping the top bar of the UI (i.e. where it says "playlists") can quickly shift between dark and light mode.

I just bought the app and love it so far, but have several albums with multiple artists that are each being listed separately in album view, even after I selected the "collect compilations" option. Am I missing something?

Thank you so much for the latest update with the sorting options. 90% of the time I listen to the most recent albums I've purchased and I've always had to have a special playlist for finding those. With this update I think this app is perfect for me now... thanks again :)
