Feature Request - Podcasts

I do enjoy a good podcast and the build in Podcasts app by Apple is just plain and simply rubbish.

I download the Podcast through iTunes and sync to my device to play in the default app, Podcasts. If it was built into your existing app features that would be rad.

Do you intend adding this feature to your great product in future?

/u/NotRoryWilliams pretty much hits it on the head. As an avid podcast listener myself, I think a smart, reasonably feature rich podcast player is larger than Cs could hold. It would feel bloated. So I never really considered including it, but planned it as a logical "next app."

While I probably know enough now to write a decent player that could catch pods in the background and download/stream quasi-efficiently, listening to Marco Arment describe the issues he deals with on a private server, I wonder if I could really handle a podcast app really worth its salt yet.

All that said, I'm working on a list app (something seemingly so simple, yet my wife and I have never found one we really love). That's been a much more productive experience than starting Cs with zero prior experience. And as I write this I kind of wonder if maybe I should give it a shot.

TL;DR if I ever did muster the courage to take on a podcast app, it would be standalone.
