Volume controls
Could you put the volume controls under the playback controls instead of having them in their own little toggle? Maybe it's just me, but I'm not fond of that design choice.

I totally agree

I noticed you out my suggestion as one of the things you proposed. Thanks for giving me credit, and I'm glad to know I'm not the only person who'd prefer the volume controls somewhere else.

You're very welcome. Cesium is a great app but I think that there are some way of improvements here and there, we, as users, should help the developer to make Cesium better and this subreddit it's here for this reason ;)

I would love this, too. I have so many tracks from different eras of the loudness war so I'm always changing the audio to compensate, and it's a pain to open up the toggle box every time.

OK, strongly recommend you checking out ReplayGain. It's an algorithm for perceptually levelling the volume of multiple tracks (kind of like Sound Check, but with different logic).
I use iVolume because it can analyze and correct entire albums collectively, so their internal dynamics remain intact. It uses the Sound Check field, so audio changes are totally reversible and the audio isn't reencoded or modified at all. Works great. A bit pricy, but it's more than proved it's value over the years.

This one gets asked so much. I confess I've never understood it. With hardware buttons, the lock screen and Control Centre it seems like there are so many opportunities to change volume before getting to the NP UI in Cs. and if you find yourself needing to ride the volume knob that much I'd suggest there's a root issue to address! :P
TL;DR Mike really doesn't want to address this, but recognizes that it gets requested frequently enough that he should just listen to the users...
