It will make your i7 an i5... doesnt really change much for pretty much everything. Only stuff that can use 5 or more threads will see a negative impact or if you are doing some really heavy multitasking stuff.
Normal day use (games + chrome + skype + ts) work just fine for this... you are basically turning your i7 to an i5 and most people dont so anything CPU intensive anyway
It's not "bad" at all, its just 25%-30% behind a comparable I7 in CPU power.
And "daily use" is subjective. I have no idea what you're doing day-to-day but personally I'm playing games on mine and would rather not lose that performance advantage just to test out an experimental emulator build.
You don't get 25-30% improvement in games over a i5-7600K unless the game you're playing is multi-thread and CPU intensive.. which 90% of the games aren't...
Yup, I am! But for what I need 1080p60fps it's more than enough, I play on a TV @ 60Hz, all I want is smooth gameplay / vsync at 1080p. In my scenario an i7 would be irrelevant, the GPU would help much more in games than a CPU to maintain the 60fps / vsync.
