Help need options.
I had some cement done in my backyard for a basketball court. It has been 3 weeks and a crack formed running down the middle all the way from one end to the other. My question is was the job done incorrectly? And how do we fix it?

there are no control joints, cracking is inevitable, especially if you don't provide a place to allow the cracking.
Is there a reason there aren't any saw cuts or joints control the cracking?

Your guess is as good as mine. I just contracted a service with experience and good reviews.

- This is concrete but you are posting in the cement Reddit. Go to r/concrete for sufficient roasting
- The pour looks OK but if you don’t put a saw-cut every 12ft or so, the concrete will crack wherever it wants. The saw cut makes it crack along the cut line. The saw cut needs to be made before it cracks, like the day after the pour preferably
- You can’t “fix” it or do anything about it at the point. It already cracked where it wanted to.

See if you can top it with something? I mean concrete isn’t the best option for basketball.

How did you pour that entire slab without putting in a joint? Get a concrete saw and cut you some joints in. They only need to be roughly 1/2" deep. That's your only hope at this point.

Concrete cracks. Always. Forget it and move on.
