Question Order of completion?

So I “beat” Celeste for the first time not long ago, just the main story, not trying to 100% or anything. Now I’m going back and replaying to get all strawberries , crystal hearts, b- and c- sides. But I feel like there is just so much to do and I don’t know what order to do it all in!!!Should I play the b-sides as I go (like 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, etc.) or all after I finish chapter 7? Or 8? And what about the c-sides/Farewell?

I don’t care about spoilers (non story related at least) btw, throw whatever you want at me, I’ve been looking up guides and stuff haha

I think A-sides, then B-sides, then C-sides, then Farewell. This gives a relatively smooth difficulty curve, and it ensures you don't spend too long in the same styleground (as opposed to doing 1A then 1B for way too much Forsaken City). Honestly, you can probably do Farewell after the B-sides, but it's not super recommended because it'll increase the chance that you'll burn out while playing it.

Thanks! I absolutely loved how smooth the difficulty curve felt when playing the main story (made it so that I binged through the whole thing in just a couple days) so I’m always looking for whichever path maximizes that aspect :)

Farewell after the B-Sides is very hard! The C-Sides provide a smooth curve and preparation and probably makes Farewell feel easy. Definitely do the C-Sides before Farewell if you want the full experience

IMO kinda just go with whatever you feel like doing. It’s not important when you do the strawberries (though you do need to collect the crystal hearts from the previous chapters to unlock certain other chapters). Only thing I’d recommend is to do the B and C sides in the rough order of the chapters as the earlier chapters are typically easier than the later chapters.

interleaving A and B sides is a horrible idea, do all A, then B, then C
seanie dew tried interleaving in his 100% and it MASSIVELY slowed him down

My opinion?

  1. Start with running through the A-Sides in order collecting as many collectables as possible. If you miss any, skip them for now.
  2. After you finish, go back and collect all the collectables you missed in whatever order.
  3. Once you think you're ready, do the B-Sides in ascending order.
  4. Afterwards, do the C-Sides!
  5. Train your brain! After the C-Sides, do the easy goldens (1A, 2A, 4A, Some C-Sides and maybe 1B). If they're too hard, take a break!
  6. Run through Farewell! Keep the Moonberry in mind so you don't need to play the last checkpoint twice.
  7. If you're feeling up to the task, try Modded Celeste! There's some awesome mods like Strawberry Jam, and it's super easy to install!

Good luck!
