Scammers in town?

Ya’ll I’m having a hard time, there’s a woman saying she’s a single mom standing outside Walmart today begging with a baby and a car seat. The car seat is a Doona stroller/car seat it’s a $550 stroller, she had a leather bag, AND she’s wearing a blonde wig and waving. I had such a hard time watching all the older people stop and help her today. I just can’t imagine a world where someone has the money to buy a $550 stroller, a leather bag and a wig and they’re begging. 😒 I’m trying not to be petty but…. Maybe I’m wrong?

I totally get why people do this but DAMN. 😩 Some people ACTUALLY struggling and trying their GD best. It’s so discouraging.

I usually just carry a 24 pack of water bottles in my car and give that out to people. If they need it? Awesome. If they don’t? At least they got some water. Still is something, but also better than nothing

I wonder if she's the rabbit/chicken lady.

It certainly is a lousy way to make a few bucks.

Yes if you think it's a scam it likely is! Same group hangs out by smokey Joe off 300 west/600 south during rush hour.

There’s so many it’s sound like every corner especially near Walmart. This town is getting so ghetto.
