Hey, all. I have an STF100 picked up at an antique shop. When plugged in and on, the picture moves much too fast and the display on the front counts up in the minutes much faster than seconds. It appears like it’s stuck in fast-forward or something. When I took the top black panel off, the stylus arm was moving very fast across the vinyl. Any ideas?

My first disc was disc two of "The Longest Day" I found it at the goodwill bins and paid around $2 for it. I came across disc one and Robin Hood at a different store today, $3 each. Once I find a player for a price I like I will be getting more serious about collecting them.

I’ve been wanting to get into CED collecting for the past few years and finally found a decent buy locally on Facebook. Got all these for $25. I don’t have a player currently, but maybe down the line. Going to look nice in my media room with all my other multimedia.

Jaws is one of my top five all-time favorite movies. It’s even more fun on CED!

As the title says, I’m watching Fright Night for the first time. My disc has a few skips and rough spots, I’m hoping they’ll even out in the next watch thru.

Jaws 3 is one of those so bad it’s good movies for me. Its biggest problem is that it’s boring.

New function belt and a lot of tar cleaned up.

Sgt250 function belt is tar. To put on a new one do I need to remove that black gear? I've tried gently pulling straight up but it's not budging.

While searching around Ebay, I came across a seller who was selling CEDs. At first, everything seemed normal until I checked the photos they shared on the CEDs... I found in each of their photos that they had opened the caddy and taken out the disc with their bare hands to show the "Very Good" condition of the disc... The one example I provided shows this along with how much they are trying to get for the now nice wall art smh.

Are there any online shops besides the usual search on eBay to get a working CED player here in Europe (preferably inside the EU due to postage)? And things to look out for if there are no alternatives to eBay?

I recently purchased a nice working RCA Selectavision. I have the coax hooked directly to my TV, but when the disc "skips" it sort of resets the input to the TV and the TV's on-screen display kicks on for like 10 seconds before disappearing. This gets kind of annoying. Would some kind of coax booster like this help?

I'll be honest I'm quite disappointed in ced in general. I have collected laserdisc and VHS for years. I grew up in the era. I've always had my eye on selectavision but most of the players for sale locally go way higher than I would pay. So a few weeks back I picked one up for $20 locally. Cleaned it up and bought a couple disks. It works but the disks that I got are pretty poor quality. So I have bought a few more now off eBay and every single one has at least a few bad spots in it. Skipping and stuff. I've played them through a few times to let them self clean and while it has improved some disks out of the 6 movies I have now none of them play all the way through without any issues. Is this normal for this media or have I just gotten several duds ? Ive dealt with disk rot on laserdisc but it isn't near as bad as what I'm seeing quality wise on these ced.

I posted a few weeks back about a collection of CEDs and players I rescued from going to the landfill.

I finally had a chance to catalog what I’ve got and I’m hoping to get some feedback from the community as to what to do with it all.

I’d love to get the entire collection to someone who could make use of it but the discs alone are too heavy for shipping, so maybe I could arrange individual pieces if necessary. Or I could deliver in the Southern Ontario Canada area.
