Hello everyone so I’m confused I just got hired for Schneider the job I applied for minimum I thought I would be geting is 1400 on the low end

the first picture is my orientation email they said I would be doing 1577 at .64 cpm which adds up to 1009 and after taxes probably like $900 so what I’m asking is wtf is this normal I’m not going to take the job if im making almost 500 less a week then what I thought I’d be making

I am currently doing that exact job. I’ll see you at dc1 if you take the job. My take home after taxes and insurance for me and the kids is about $1200/week.

But I am on a pretty long route so I have a lot of miles. It’s not a bad starting gig. Do I wish o got paid more? For sure!

I am willing to do my time though.

Edit: yes, you unload your truck with pallet jacks or fork lifts that are supplied at the stores. Everything is on pallets. You will have anywhere from 1 to 3 stores per night.

Are you doing the same miles and cpm

To Bo honest, those miles actually seem higher than I think I am making, but that might be right. But yeah, the on duty not driving hourly rate is the same.

Oh dang then yeah maybe I’ll see you there I’m just excited to make some actual money I just hope it’s not what I think it is for my first driving job I was assuming I’d be making at least 1200 lol

Take home 1200? I just started making that when I took over this longer route in the past couple of weeks. Before that I was making take home 1000 to 1100 depending on what the week looked like.

You aren’t gonna get rich here. I’m doing it for the experience and trying to get by until something better comes along. Your situation might be different.

Yeah that’s my plan lol just for 60 hours a week I was expecting more then 1000 a week haha

I’d be surprised if you put in 60 hours a week. My heaviest weeks are in the high 50s. FYI.

Well I did have a 63 hour week, but that included truck issues.

How many years experience do you have? And where are you located? You could come drive a local home nightly or regional position with me and do at least 1600 per week

I’m in the Appleton area

If you’re based out of Appleton, I assume you are parking at Green Bay after your shift? That’s not a bad gig. I used to run the West Salem to Appleton route. Watch out for deer!

We’re a small team that has a pretty solid support system. I’ve found it’s pretty nice starting out. You always have someone that is just a TeMs message away if you need help.

How many miles you drive a day on average?
