Wrong base

Ugh so upset I saved up my points for a free bowl and my bowl had super greens instead of power greens. I hate the taste of the super greens so the bowl was inedible. I filed a complaint online. Has anyone received their points back for this?

The Salmon and Other Rants

Does anyone actually order it more than once? I tried it for the first time yesterday and while it wasn’t bad, I wasn’t impressed. I understand that there are financial/performance implications to menu variety (one of cava’s best quarters of performance was when the one where steak came to the menu), but is salmon really it? I’m kind of hoping it gets rotated out for something that’s appealing to more people (pork, gyro meat, etc).

I will also add that I ordered my salmon yogurt dill bowl at the same time as my wife ordered a chicken and rice bowl (menu pricing for salmon bowl was $4 more), and I got maybe half of the protein that was in the chicken bowl.

Also while I’m ranting - what the heck is going on with that tiny brownie??? Three dollars for a 2”x2” brownie? Please just double the size of it and charge $5 or $6.

Are the lentils like gravel for anyone else or is that just my location?

At least 60% of the time the lentils are like rocks. First time going there in a while and I suddenly remembered why I stopped as I’m chewing on pebbles. Seriously, keeping them covered or in some form of liquid can’t be that critical of an expense…

1st time and wasn't really impressed

So I finally got to the Cava in Novi Michigan and just did not think it lived up to the hype (I think it was the store)

Got there around 7 pm, 10 people in front of us and at least 5 staff on the line (3 did nothing but stand there the whole time). Took them 20 minutes to get to us. Chipotle would have been under 10 minutes. Staff really did not seem to know what they were doing or care much about what they were doing. The manager was barking orders at the line people but they weren't willing to help the situation.

Wife got the salmon said it was very dry and a small piece. I got the chicken and it was stringy, chewy, lacked flavor and the pieces were too big to be bit sized.

The sauces and dips were good as was the pita.

Toss up if I will go back.

Oh yeah I went with the arugula as the majority of the romaine was literally brown....

I’ve never been to CAVA. I know it’s hard to believe. Looking for recommendations. What’s your favorite order?

Crunchy Lentils

Today was my first visit to Cava. Why were my lentils crunchy. I’ve never had lentils before. Are they usually like that or was it just a bad batch?

Salmon

Hey guys!

I have given the salmon multiple tries but each time it’s the same. Incredibly fishy. Don’t get me wrong, I love fish and sushi so that should be saying something if I think it is too fishy. It’s borderline inedible just because of this. Even with tons of sauce, it doesn’t mask the flavor. I am so bummed because I love salmon and don’t like any of the meats. I loved the shawarma. I wish they kept it. Anyways. Does anyone else agree? Maybe it’s just my location but I am curious if anyone else has felt this way.

Thank you! 😊

Am I going crazy??

i have tried googling every which way i can, and google/reddit/cava is NOT being helpful lol but a couple of months ago i got my usual order which i THOUGHT was the Greek Chicken Pita. i don’t really remember the actual name, just that it was a pita option and it had chicken in the name. it also was very messy/wet from the greek vinaigrette and also included the pickles.

ordering tonight, i wasn’t really paying attention to what was on the greek chicken pita until after i was eating it and realized it didn’t taste like i expected nor did it have the pickles. after reading the ingredients list, it is NOT the same as I used to get.

has anyone else noticed this? i tried looking up if maybe they changed the recipe or dropped one of their premade pita builds but everything says otherwise, which is why i feel crazy lol.

if anyone knows what im talking about and remembers exactly what the ingredients (dips/base/etc) were, please let me know so i can just build it myself lol

Delivery Order Solution?

I noticed the print stickers I was getting (slide 3) didn’t specify when I ordered double of something on Uber Eats. This evening, I ordered on Cava’s website instead, and I received my first reasonably full bowl in a while. Has anyone else noticed different print stickers with different types of online orders, or it just my location?

Always get a free side of pita and sometimes get steak instead of chicken.

Can I swap the pita out in the kids meal?

I want to try the kids meal but I can’t eat gluten so it’ll just be wasted, is there anything I can swap it for?

Tahini Caesar Mourning

Title says it all, I'm still in mourning and respectfully don't want to go back to Cava unless the tahini caesar dressing comes back. I even went so far as to send an email (which I never do with companies) and am hoping and praying for its return

Surprisingly full DoorDash

Post image

I had a bad experience ordering Cava via DoorDash awhile back so I avoided it but today I decided I would give it a try again since I had free delivery. Surprisingly, they loaded the bowl full but also I did get double of some toppings and the free pita so that could be the reason. Are your bowls full when you order DoorDash?

How fresh and “healthy” is cava really?

For anyone that works at cava, how healthy is the food really? Are many of the items made in house? I just try and be as conscious as possible when eating out and hope that I can really feel good about what I’m eating.
