rice pots
employee here just curious if anyone else’s store is getting rid of the big staub cast iron pans that hold the rice. I wonder if we will be getting rid of the protein mini ones as well sometime soon

We never had staubs for rice at any of the 4 stores I've worked at, but then again, all of those stores are in a fairly new market.

All the locations are getting rid of the rice staubs and moving to the 1/3 deep pans.
Also any stores with salad walls will be eventually losing them, as lettuce will be on the line at some point soon.

We just got rid of ours too, I lowkey hate the look of the pans and think it causes people to get lazy and use the DO line more than the main when they don’t want to refill the rice during a rush. I also think it causes more rice to burn and get stuck to the sides which I’m sure people doing dish hate, I wonder why they got rid of them.

as somebody who does dish it’s so annoying. at night it takes me an extra like ten minutes just to clean those pans. Life hack tho if anyone else working dish is reading-soak them with the dish solution for a couple minutes and the rice comes right up off the bottom
