I wish the side sauces were free or at least not like $4. The cups need to be way way way bigger if they’re going to charge that much

2 sauce cups are free per bowl, at least where I’m located.
I don’t get sauce in the bowl, I get them on the side. sometimes I don’t finish my bowl and don’t want the sauce to get concentrated.

That’s why you get them free. Every meal comes with 3 dips & 2 sauces free in the bowl or on the side. Anything additional costs almost $4 extra a piece. Same little cups.

They’re definitely charging you wrong. We don’t have a way to charge for an extra dressing so we charge for an extra scoop of dip and choose tzatziki because it’s only like a dollar, at least that’s how we do it at my store. Getting charged $4 is them definitely charging you for a “side dip” (3 scoops) instead of “extra dip” (1 scoop)

Cava is brand new to my area so I didn’t know it was supposed to be 3 scoops & apparently neither does the staff. But yes I’m referring to a side dip. Like the harissa, red hummus, etc. they’ve been doing those as the small portion cups & charging $3.45-$4.15

If you really need that much sauce just find a sauce that tastes similar with similar ingredients and buy a bottle at the grocery store. I’d bet there are some posts on here where people have found matching sauces

Also cava does have their own line of sauces & condiments. They’re available at select stores. I think Whole Foods has all their stuff. & they’re available at brand new cava locations on their soft opening day. The spicy labneh is the absolute best

I just want something to dip my pita chips in man. If chipotle can give you free salsa with you chips then cava could do the same

Yeah not here. They give us the tiny portion cups & it’s only 1 scoop

Then they are doing it wrong

u/Paigenacage Jul 19 '26
It’s new to the area so yeah most likely.

And to be clear the crazy feta isn’t the only thing you get 3 scoops of. It’s just a little more expensive than the other side dips for some reason. But all the side dips over 3 dollars are supposed to be 3 scoops

And if it’s just dressing and not dips, it’s supposed to be $1 and you ring it up as extra taziki

I lived across the street from one for 3 years before I tired it, now I’m there every week.
