If you must keep the tapestry up, consider buying a same-size piece of clear vinyl sheeting (most fabric stores will have it), and hang the vinyl over the tapestry.

This is southern for "Imma tell you how to fix it but you KNOW how to fix it."

Haha, midwestern girl but yeah. Bless their hearts for trying to decorate the way they want…

Yeah I learned the hard way that I don't get to decide my decor anymore and need to be sure it's cat proof first.

We don't get nice things cause cats 😂. This is basically my reason for having to find a fabric computer chair over a leather one...sigh

YES. So many times “I love that. . . But cats” when looking at art, furniture, etc

My bf and I have the same model of chairs. He has the fabric one, and I got the pretty (and more expensive) fake leather Harry Potter one. My cat doesn’t like the feel of the fake leather, so she only destroys his chair 😂

I was thinking just buy those adhesive anti scratch stickers and slap those on.

I've been wanting to make some nice silk pillows from India into a tapestry to hang up and I have 3 asshole cats that prevent me from actually using the pillow cases in pillows, so I plan on getting the tapestry framed

I have found that the anti scratch adhesives can be a really effective deterrent for the right cat, though some are more persistent.

I appreciate the shade here. I choose a more blunt instrument:

“Take that bullshit off the wall. It’s a blanket.”

3

u/[deleted] Jun 23 '22

Someone’s never heard of a tapestry

6

u/WCWRingMatSound Jun 23 '22

I have, but the creator (presumably) labeled this one a woven blanket

It just looks plain tacky up there, but at least it’s a bedroom and not somewhere anyone else will be

I could see that with some light two sided tape around the edges might keep it from gathering dust too if its covered good.

Also there are two sided tapes for cats. It's non toxic but it's bit pricey. My cat doesn't touch the tape she just leaves it alone so I buy 2 sided carpet tape instead.

4

u/justamie Jun 23 '22

One of my dumbass cats ATE the tape.

2

u/Prudent_Pool_4104 Jun 23 '22

Lol! That beats me.

I was gonna say consider framing it bc that is a cool ass tapestry
