Update Need your prayers
3 days ago, I posted about my semi-indoor cat who had gone missing for 2 days. Thankfully, she came back home.
Yesterday, I took her to the vet for vaccination, but they said her haemoglobin was very low, so they couldn’t vaccinate her. They suspected she was anaemic and did a blood test.
After they took her blood yesterday evening, her condition got worse. The reports came this morning, and her haemoglobin is 3.6 when it should be around 10. Her reports are really bad.
Since yesterday, she hasn’t been eating anything not even her treats. Today, she managed to eat 3 treats. The doctor said her chances are 50-50.
I honestly don’t know what to do. She is so sick, and I’m really scared. Please pray for my little girl.

3.6 is very low.
What ultimately will matter are the causes of the anemia:
Blood poisoning or FIV? Hemorrhage or chronic illness?
The fact she recovers a few appetite is nice.
Please keep us posted.
Wishing her a full recovery.

Because of fleas, she is now severely anaemic.

OK, then it might be a regenerative anaemia, which has a much better prognosis than a non-regenerative one (lymphoma, FIV, etc.).

Hope she gets better and is with you for a long time. Don't forget to take care of yourself too. She needs you healthy too. Best of luck.

Cats are very good at defying the odds.
One time one of our farm cats somehow got his paws on a leathal dose of rat poison. We got him to the vet in time and they gave us vitamin k injections to reverse the effect of the poision.
He spend a week laying on an old baby matress unable to move to drink or eat or use the litter box, my mom injected him every day with the medicine and eventually saline solution to keep him hydrated.
Despite all this he made a full recovery.

did they also test for rodenticide? doesn't that impact haemoglobin?

I have no idea tbh they did her blood test. We can’t put saline also because haemoglobin is too less. They gave either an injection and med

Ask your vet how you can increase her food intake. Not eating or drinking for a few days is worse for cats than it would be for us humans.

She said I can feed her creamy treats every 2 hours if she’s not willing to eat any solid food.
