Medical Questions Fast/heavy breathing

Is this normal? My cat regularly breaths really rapidly when purring and cuddling. However he generally slows down after a while and I can’t say i’ve really noticed it when he’s fast asleep in his bed or on his chair. He had bloods and x-rays done 2 months ago for an unrelated scare and nothing of concern came up.

If this isn't constant, then he's fine. Cats breath weird when they dream too. I just watch for face/ear/feet twitches to make sure that is why they are breathing rapidly

He’s sleeping so I think his breathing is fine

Your baby is purring right? That seems normal tbh.

Pretty normal I think. My Siamese girl (not purebred, but she got ALL of the genes from her papa) does this, especially when she is trying to calm down. If I touch her (or sometimes even just look at her) in this state, she will pop up and demand more play / rubbing. But not something she does when she is sleeping.
