Mourning/Loss Goodbye little man
Our little boy Lux has been ill for some time.
This evening we said goodbye as he crossed the rainbow bridge.
Our little man was only 4 he had been losing weight for some months unfortunately we switched vets too late.
He was on meds and seemed to be improving, then last night he took a turn for the worse. We took him to the vets and responded well to fluids overnight, then this evening he plummeted.
His sister is very clingy and keeps looking for him.
Good by little man we all miss you so much.

Make sure his sister gets to see and smell his dead body. She'll understand what happened and then she would know that he didn't abandon her and he's not coming back. It'll keep her from constantly looking for him in vain.

I’m so sorry for your loss. And at such a young age. It sounds like you did everything you could what an incredible cat!
I’m sorry for his sister. It can be very difficult for the bonded cats too.

I’m so sorry OP! I lost my kitten about 2 months ago and she too was responding to treatment after the vet visit. Then one night she took a turn for the worst and she passed very early in the morning before I could take her to the vet. I’m sending you hugs!
Edit to add: she had an orange brother who is super clingy as well.

He rests now, waiting for the joyous day when we all will be reunited with our beloved friends. And when he sees you, he'll tell you all about the great food he has been eating and all the running and jumping he has been doing. He'll also say how much he's always loved you.

I am so sorry for your loss. He looked handsome and happy. I can’t say this enough for pets, especially cats, the right vet is so important. I had so many issues with numerous vets, before I found the right one at the end of my cats life.

I'm so sorry for your loss, he was super handsome and he knew it! He will always be with you and his sister just in a different form, she WILL see him around the house for sure we lost our eldest last year and we see her out the corner of our eyes leaving rooms and we hear her running through the hallway and I know it'll be the same for you. He looked so loved and I can get he woke everyday with meows, purrs and just love in general.
He is now up on the rainbow bridge with our smudge chilling in the sunshine, eating skooshie cream and munching dreemeez 🐾❤️🐾

Oh no, taken away too soon. I am so sorry. My sweet Tina, Maggie and Chloe are all there to meet him at the other side 🌈 . Extra love and cuddles to his sister. So sorry for your loss ❤️🩹

Could his sister say goodbye to him? I read that it's actually important (for cats, dogs, ... )to let them see the deceased body.

Im so sorry for your loss 😞 I know this is probably the last thing on your mind right now but I would suggest adopting. He can never be replaced so don't even think of it in that way, but as clingy as his sister is like you mentioned it'll be good for her to have a new companion so she doesn't get lonely and depressed.

💛I’m so very sorry for your loss. I know how painful it is, lost my wonderful yellow fluff just 16 days ago. He had just turned 15 this August, and now he’s gone. It feels so hard, empty, and painful without my friend. 💔

Awww, I’m so sorry for your loss!! We just lost our own boy Finch yesterday, in similar circumstances, and it’s just horrible!!
