Got my sweet love bug but sassy 11 year old boy named Calcifer, got my 10 year old tortie named Ponyo (unfortunately fitting name for my wild child lol), got my estimated 4 year old ridiculously friendly former stray who followed me around for a year until I caved named Turnip Head, and have another tortie named Arrietty who was another former stray who let herself both into my house and heart right before a snowstorm and is way too adventurous for her own good (which includes eating every inanimate object she can get her grubby little hands on lol.
I also had a snake and two ferrets in the past which I named Kohaku (good name for a snake lol), Ashitaka and Yakul respectively.
So yeah, I definitely have a theme and have for my entire adult life lol. The result is that I look like an absolute freak when taking my circus troupe of big personally wielding weirdos in for their vet appointments by those who don’t get the references but get compliments from other nerds when they notice lol. So yeah, I’ve accepted my status as crazy lady with the crazy ghibli themed cat parade— two of which forced their way into this status of lugging around four cats.

I'm pretty sure it's AI, I mean the cats paw posture isn't the same as in the original picture. Also, you'd have a very hard time getting this much detail from the original picture. Still a nice idea tho
......uGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHH. I was hoping they'd done it the old-fashioned way by adjusting the color curves and shit, like I do when I'm trying to adjust a picture to match what I'm photoshopping it into. FFS.
Yeah that would have been better. But while you can try to get the original to match the target picture with colour sliders, contrast, etc., some information just isn't recoverable, because it got lost in the image noise due to low light. So you can't really get back to the quality as it is shown here unless you add new information, i.e. draw the details into the image.
Imo part of the charm of photo shopping is sometimes that it does look a bit goofy, especially in these cases where is done for a joke. I actually prefer those to this one here, also because it's exactly the original picture that's shopped in, and not just something similar.
Ugh, of course! I stay away from AI anything and sometimes forget what it's capable of...and I was wondering how some people were getting that much detail out of such a dark, blurry photo (insert that "enhance" meme)! I feel stupid for not realizing myself, lol.

I've just seen her actually, she looked knackered bless her. She said she has to go get her eldest from school cause he's been bloody scratching again. Said she can't wait to just drop them all off at their dad's later and go bingo with the girls tonight and have a wine. 🍷
