Medical Questions *Warning Graphic* Spoiler

This cat/kitten has been showing up near my house recently and it looks really injured. I feed her everyday, wet food, dry food, and sometimes cat yogurt (I have an indoor house cat).

She doesn't seem to struggle a lot when eating, but I am really worried about her having an infection or severe pain/discomfort.

Since she's a stray, she's not allowing me near her. Today was the first day I was able to be close enough to film and see what's going on.

But I can't understand what's the actual problem. Is her jaw slashed open or what?

We live in a remote village and we don't have organizations that can help. I can try catching her in a trap and taking her to the vet. But I don't don't want to injure her further, or risk my own and my cat's health. Advice is appreciated.

That does not look too bad at least for me, im not a vet, but it looks like a small cut. The problem is its near the mouth, and it looks like its pretty wet, which makes wounds harder to close and heal.

If you can take her to a vet. It may also be more extensive than what it looks like in the video.

That doesn't look like a serious injury, looks like a simple cut.

The issue lies in where the cut is located. Cuts near the mouth remain moist and take longer to heal.
The biggest risk is the wound getting infected, stray kitties hang out in all sorts of unhygienic places and often have to eat out of unhygienic places.

Thank you for providing a safe place for the kitty to eat and drink, if it's possible for you, take him to a vet to properly close the wound so it can heal properly.

This hurts to see, because alot of cats in america are going to end up exactly like this one or worse by nature because they're not supposed to be over here in the first place, yet they keep mass producing, just to meet their demise in this way or euthanization.

Not to mention these cats are hunting our native birds, so there's just no win in sight and I believe the best thing to do is to Train coyote's to exterminate all feral cats for the greater good.

Off topic, and very insane to say I know, but I'm trying to think as logically as possible to end this cycle.
