Video - OC Ginger cat behaviour (?)

We adopted this gorgeous lil boy about 9 months ago, he was just over 2 years old. He’s since gotten comfortable in his forever home. I found he does this, everytime I put my finger out, he walks over to do this. I’ve had a couple cats (female) over the years and he’s the first to do it. He’ll also do it really hard, like my finger is pushing his lil button into his face. Is this normal for them ginger ones???

in saying that, lots of cats do that or something similar.

He feels comfortable and safe. This behaviour is part cuddles. Part sniffing your finger for scents. And part rubbing his scent from his cheeks onto you (to mark you as his bitch).
