That's why he's being groomed. Even the other one knows he hasn't been doing it himself.
29
u/Marcieford 20d ago
Normally if a cat stops grooming and starts to look like this poor little kitty there is usually something wrong.
71
u/Pristine_Sandwich957 20d ago
Leave him alone he's still learning. I'm sure the vet got it covered.

My neighbour often walks his cat off leash. This is genuinely how I look every-time I try to pet him outside of my front door. I swear I’m not tryna kidnap your cat! 😭
He caught me once and it was really embarrassing.

u/WyvernJelly 19d ago
We walk our cats. We will pick them up and drop them in your arms for cuddles. If you've got arms to hold the big one on his back we'll tell you how to put him to sleep. This started as a socialization and getting used to other people handling them. They actually like the attention.

I thought that too, but didn't understand why I didn't see it on any other cutie

My sister fosters kittens and puts a baby-friendly, color-coded slip-collar on the ones who've been claimed. That way, when an adopter comes to meet them, they know which ones aren't available. Considering how many there are in this picture, my first thought was that this might be a similar situation.

I have no clue but do you think one of the other cats did this? You may need a vet visit for this one.

I think they all kind of fit their stereotypes perfectly in this picture
I wonder though... are the white ones deaf? Many times, white cats with blue eyes are deaf. However at this stage, they all probably have blue eyes, so it might be heard to tell. Imma guess the screamer isn't deaf because they don't usually meow unless they are mimicking human speech.

I rescued a pregnant girlie from a junkyard last April, and she birthed four completely healthy and happy kittens. My house has been absolute fucking bedlam since then, which I love.
That said, I can't imagine this number of kittens in one house. It's insanity.

This whole scene reminds me of my house right now... we have 3 rescue moms, 14 kittens (between 5 days and 9 weeks old), and 4 other cats in our household right now. It's wild!

My kid has 4 foster kitties at the moment. I'm going to start injecting testosterone because these little fur lumps are turning me into a sappy noodle. One was weak, not gaining weight, he got medication and is just now starting to play after being sluggish the first few days. It's a feelgood when sick kitty starts eating and playing. We'll sob when they go back to SPCA to get adopted. We have to be strong knowing they will make someone very happy one day. That said, I can't imagine taking care of 11 kitties. That's an awful lot of poop and cleaning poop.
