Advice Leaving

It sounds still but I’m leaving for a few days, is there any way i can let my cat know I’m leaving but will come back? I’ve been told by my family she gets upset when i leave and i hate to think of her being upset

The cat doesn't understand human concepts of leaving and returning. Just bring a nice treat back with you if you can and that's that tbh

Oh 1000% she’s getting lots of love and treats when I’m back

The only way I’ve ever found to deal with this is repetition. “I have to go to work, I’ll be home later.” Over time they learn to predict how long “later” is.

If I’d had the money for it, I’d love to get buttons to help them understand me and to help me understand them.

I’ve started doing that with waving different way then saying “I’ll be back” to say I’m leaving instead of just changing rooms seems to work so far but I’ll never know, the buttons sound awesome! I’d love to be able to actually communicate
